[For anyone who's bothered to notice the coming and goings of villagers, Chien's actually been avoiding the village since late April. The reason?
Why, it's the bird sitting on his head. Yes, it's a Taillow. Yes, he knows its name and how to take care of it. No, he will not answer questions about it. This will be the first time you are all formally introduced to the newest Trainer of Luceti by way of finding the thing in the forest and deciding just to keep him around in case that Noa girl (Soren's original owner) ever comes back and the fact he can't bear to leave an animal alone if it's something like a Pokémon. Soren's been much needed company for the child. Brendan told him a lot about it since he's got Swellow.
Anyway, his first stop will be the Rec Center to play some games because he actually never got around to it after Kazooie told him about it. Little does he know that reading is required for most games and will be struggling to understand it should anyone want to watch him suffer. Soren certainly is, back-seat gaming him even though he doesn't know either. At least the gameplay is easy to understand even if he's fumbling with it badly.
Second stop is to the bakery because he's been living off ~the fruits of the wild~ and sorely misses the sweets and meat buns and other things there. He'll be feeding his Poképal bread too.
Third and final is to Community Building #2, where he'll find out that Chitose's actually been gone for a while now and will leave to sit glumly at the fountain. He'd wanted to show her their new ally, too. Feel free to catch him any time, anywhere, to and from and at these places.]
