1st Bark [Action] because who can read anyways journals are useless etc
[With the influx of New Feathers, no one's probably noticed this boy rolling on the ground trying to bite his wings. In the snow. With only those bare amount of clothes. And failing. S'hard being a human.
Once he finds out he can't though, he's reduced to being cold and miserable and sticking by the edge of the forest near the school because he sees all these humans and does not want to interact with them, so obviously the best way to go about this is to wait until it's not so light outside and then go look for someplace warm. And to stay away from those people. Yes, perfect.
The journal's pretty much abandoned beside the tree he's pressing against in some effort of being warm there is a reason he has never gone any place cold in his canon and that is because he is 1. under-dressed for it and 2. from a tropical island. Good luck trying to talking to him or anything though, because he's pretty distrustful of anything remotely human.]

Cool. [Picking out them tropical fruits, hell yes. But only a few because he's gonna go check out the meat in a few too.] Uh, anything else?

...The journal.
[wait. shit.]
Where did you wake up when you arrived?
no subject
[He honestly didn't think two seconds about it because it was a book and he cannot read.]

[I'll explain while we walk.]
It looks like a normal book when closed, but it's really a communication device. Everyone has one. If someone records a message on theirs, everyone in the village can see it. So you can ask questions, make announcements, call for someone when you don't know where they are...

So you talk into a book and everyone can hear it or whatever? That's weird.
no subject
It's more like a videophone, even though it's shaped like a book.

... Okay.

[And there's the book in question!]

Wow. What's all this?

I don't think there was anything like this on Naraka... It looks easy enough.

Now is that all? When can we leave? [His mind already assumes the worst that they can't, but...]

So I could be here forever..?

He's going to be sad later when he realizes this means that his Lady Mathias doesn't have the Manifest--]That's pretty weird.

What's weirder is that we get used to it.
[sigh...]
