There were a lot of people he didn't particularly know - or care about! - walking around and

it really, really wore on his nerves.

But he's out nonetheless looking for some important people in his life, watching the wingless newcomers warily and keeping to himself. All around the village, too, and later in the forest as well whether or not his search comes up fruitless.]

Because I was Cerberus in my past life. [And he loves them very much.] Who're you? I don't remember meeting you back then.

I see! I'm Himmel. I'm one of the pillars of Devaloka, so it isn't surprising you never met me. I've heard some about Cerberus. You protected the Manifest, right?

Yeah, I was the Guardian until Asura took it from us. [And used it to destroy Devaloka but still.]

A pillar of Devaloka... So you held it up? And you're reborn like Cerberus was?

That's right. I, along with six others, keep Devaloka from falling. Even if one of us died of old age or... other reasons, there were still others to keep it afloat until we could be reborn again in our place.

[Himmel only mentions "other reasons" because he's had the sinking suspicion the elders are growing more and more wearisome with his ideals and might just decide to scrap him - but he isn't going to back down from his thought that united worlds would be better.]

[Himmel seems pretty happy and bright for someone who's supposed to be alone most of his life, and it begs a question out of Chien.]
