[Holy shit this was a bad day to be in the village.

There were a lot of people he didn't particularly know - or care about! - walking around and

it really, really wore on his nerves.

But he's out nonetheless looking for some important people in his life, watching the wingless newcomers warily and keeping to himself. All around the village, too, and later in the forest as well whether or not his search comes up fruitless.]

Back home Tenos was supposed to be doing something like that too. With ships in the sky and all. I think. Probably for the war though. What do yours do?

War? But back home the war ended long time ago... Our ship is just a place for us to live.

[dogboy]

Lucky your war ended, ours has been going on for a while. What's it like? Flying and all.

[innocentgear]

It was a very long war.

_{[but she didn't want to talk about it. She smiled again.]}

It's a lot of fun. The world looks so different from above.

_{[She gives him a curious look.]}

But can't you fly? You have wings...

[He doesn't like to talk about their war either. It gets into a lot of other things he hates.]

They're more for show. Totally useless! I can hover a bit, but I can't fly. [Not that he wishes he could, thank you solid ground.]</small.

I can't fly with my wigs very well either. But yours are different than mine.

_{[she ponders a bit.]}

...But you are not a human, too, are you? Humans don't have wings...

Everyone here's got it. That's why you have them, too. Even if they're weird looking.

But I had wings before arriving here. I have them because I am a Gear.

[dogboy]

A Gear? You're like, a machine?

[innocentgear]

...No, I am not a machine. But I'm not a human either.

That's still fine with me. I don't like humans very much anyways. So, what are you?

[innocentgear]

You don't like humans? Why?

_{[She frowns a little.]}

I'm a Gear... Gears are... they were created by humans. But I am a little different.

[dogboy]

Humans have never been kind to me. Because I was born different than them. Not, uh, created like you were, but still different enough to get their hatred. [Yup. Not good when you're born with two dogs as blood brothers.]

Anyway, how're you different? From other Gears.

[innocentgear]

...I see.

I'm different because unlike other Gears I was not created. My mother was a Gear named Justice.

[dogboy]

... Oh. So I guess we're more alike than I thought. [He's a little embarrassed for assuming so quickly.]

Are you hated because of that?

[innocentgear]

Humans are afraid of Gears. I don't blame them for that though. Gears hated humans so much they started a war long time ago. But the war ended three years ago.

My foster parents... were humans, but I could not stay with them. I am a Gear and people of the village I lived in were afraid of me.

[dogboy]

It sounds a little like my world. I'm an Avatar - the... reincarnation of a god from the, uh, the Devic Era. Cerberus, the Guardian of the Manifest. Anyway, humans hate us Avatars because we're different and they're afraid, so they kind of have a war against us and they put us in this program that sends us to the battlefield to fight for them on either Garam's or Regnum's side or to be experimented on.

[But there is oneeee difference.] I hate humans.
